At GlobalWave Consulting LLC (“GWCI”) and GlobalWave Labs, we value the intellectual property rights of our instructors, content creators, and students. This Copyright Policy outlines our commitment to upholding copyright laws and protecting the rights of content creators and users within our online learning platform.
1. Copyright Ownership
Instructors: Instructors who create and publish courses on GWCI retain the copyright to their course content. GWCI does not claim ownership of the copyright in course materials.
Students: Students are granted access to course materials solely for personal and educational purposes. No copyright or ownership rights are transferred to students.
2. Use of Course Materials
Instructors: Instructors grant GWCI a license to host, display, and distribute their course content on our platform. This license is non-exclusive, revocable, and limited to the purposes of providing the course to students and promoting the course on GWCI.
Students: Students are granted limited access to course materials for personal, non-commercial use. Reproduction, distribution, or public display of course materials without the express permission of the instructor is prohibited.
3. Reporting Copyright Violations
GWCI takes copyright violations seriously. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our platform in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please follow our Copyright Infringement Reporting Procedure.
4. Copyright Infringement Reporting Procedure
a. Notification: To report a copyright infringement, please send a written notification to our designated Copyright Agent at tbaker@globalwaveconsulting.com, including the following information:
A description of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed.
Identification of the specific course or content in question.
Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
b. Response: Upon receipt of a valid copyright infringement notification, GWCI will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. We will also notify the instructor responsible for the content, provide them with a copy of the infringement notification, and give them an opportunity to respond.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed or access was disabled by mistake or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent. Your counter-notification must include:
Identification of the specific content that was removed or disabled.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court located within Virginia and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original copyright infringement notification.
6. Copyright Policy Updates
GWCI reserves the right to update or revise this Copyright Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
